Introducing Liminal

  • Introducing Liminal
  • July 2026

Liminal exists in the threshold between object and space. Its floating silhouette is suspended by a trio of central support rods, creating a carefully balanced composition unique to the piece.Intentionally restrained in expression, Liminal draws focus to the refined detailing and precise finishing of its brass or aluminium elements.

Offering independently switched uplight and downlight illumination, Liminal allows for layered atmospheric control within a single fixture. A modular lap joint detail defines the fixture’s side profile, reinforcing its architectural character. Available in five lengths and eleven standard finishes, Liminal adapts seamlessly across a range of architectural environments while maintaining its quiet, immersive presence.

Available in eleven standard finishes, each brass or aluminium component is individually hand linished, hand rubbed or patinated in-house. This highly considered finishing process enhances the natural character of each material, creating subtle variations and a rich tactile quality that is unique to every piece.

Crafted using locally sourced materials, Liminal reflects Ross Gardam’s commitment to Australian manufacturing and enduring craftsmanship. Each fixture is meticulously produced within the studio’s Brunswick East workshop in Melbourne, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail throughout the making process.

Liminal is available to purchase through our website or through OUR STUDIO.
