Swiss premium home appliance designer and manufacturer V-ZUG, recently unveiled their new Melbourne studio, located in the heart of renowned design precinct, Richmond.

Taking influence from its existing spaces around the globe, V-ZUG’s brand-new Melbourne studio boasts 165 square metres of beautifully curated interiors with an earthy tonal palette that celebrates the natural and rugged beauty of the Australian landscape through a minimalist design lens.

Australia’s iconic landscapes and rich culture inspire the interior, which combines cool, natural textures and materials with the boldness and warmth of layered earthy tones. The result is an emotive blend of strength, tranquillity and elegance and the perfect backdrop for their premium range of kitchen and laundry appliances that are created to complement an interior, rather than steal the limelight.

The floor plan of the studio has been cleverly designed, to create an internal and external cube, allowing V-ZUG to highlight three beautiful appliance finishes – black, pearl and platinum mirror glasses – in their own spaces. The cube also delivers functionality with a hidden kitchen inside to provide the V-ZUG Gourmet Academy team with a place to prepare the magic for the regular guest dining experiences and events hosted in the studio.

At Ross Gardam, we were proud to collaborate with V-ZUG on this project. Our team brought its signature style to the space, curating lighting and furniture, including a custom designed sofa created specifically for the Melbourne studio. This collaboration highlights V-ZUG’s commitment to local design and sustainability, ensuring the space feels both unique and connected to its surroundings.

Behind the innovative studio is V-ZUG’s Global Interior Art Director, Gabriel Castelló Pinyon, boasting extensive knowledge and experience across passive and circular design. Pinyon has been integral to the design and success of V-ZUG’s existing mono-brand studios in London,Paris, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen, Munich, Hong Kong, Singapore and more recently V-ZUG’s first Australian studio in Surry Hills, Sydney.

The leading premium home appliance manufacturers are renowned as one of Europe’s most sustainable brands with production in Zug, Switzerland achieving carbon neutral status in 2020. The products internationally are also supported by a complete 10 year manufacturer’s warranty for the ultimate peace of mind.

The V-ZUG Melbourne Studio features a selection of our signature designs, each contributing to the space’s refined aesthetic. Working closely with the V-ZUG team, we developed a custom eight-metre long lounge, accompanying upholstered coffee table and large format dining table, featuring the interior palette Coyote. These bespoke pieces were crafted specifically for the studio, enhancing both style and functionality.

The Vestige Table Lamp showcases a striking parabolic form in radiant cast crystal glass.

The Ora Pendant provides soft, diffused illumination with its minimalist design, while the Ceto Floor Lamp, inspired by the ocean’s rippling surface, creates a captivating light effect.

Completing the space, the Rook Stools add a playful yet sculptural presence, blending design and practicality.

The V-ZUG Melbourne studio is located at R7, 459 Church Street Richmond 3121. Consultations can be booked online here.
