Ross Gardam Previews Ceto Circlet, to be launched at TRANSCENDENCE as a part of Milan Design Week 2023.

Ceto Circlet captures the variation and rippling of the surface of the ocean. Each piece is mouth blown, reflecting a distinct pattern that emits a delicate luminosity, evoking the presence of the sea and its undulating movements.

Sculptural and captivating all at once, Ceto’s silhouette is a result of a series of experimentations with traditional optic glass-blowing techniques and innovative engineering. Through the process of blowing, each light achieves its own unique glass effect. The Ceto Circlet collection features a circular band suspended in a horizontal plane, to which several Ceto lamps are affixed.

Each glass shade is mouth blown in Australia and hand assembled in our Melbourne-based studio. This sculptural luminaire is available in a selection of glass finishes combined with a highly refined machined aluminium body and circular band available in a black and champagne anodised finish.

With TRANSCENDENCE, Australian designer Ross Gardam invites you on a journey of discovery beyond the limits of the ordinary. To experience a variety of intriguing designs, all based on experimentation with different glass techniques. Each piece is a sculpture in its own right, revealing different personalities when light is added, reduced, or removed.

The show is an exploration of the innate allure of illuminated glass and its far-reaching effect beyond the physical. Referencing the moon, the ocean, geometric motifs, and the illusion of motion.
