Like the brutalist architecture of 60 years ago that it references, the Hemera desk lamp is powerful in its simplicity of form. The two solid circular volumes intersect with no overtly visible light source, creating a striking desktop monolith and a lighting device of refined functionality.
Meticulously formed from a slab of Accorsi stone sourced from Italy, the distinct colour of the Hemera Accorsi occurs from the serpentine minerals, rich in magnesium and water that are intrinsic to the material. Featuring machined polished aluminium components to unite the marble elements, the lamp consists of four separate elements, each connected by the marbles own weight. Designed in collaboration with New Volumes.
