Barristers Chambers – FMD Architects
Barristers chambers designed by FMD Architects: an open light filled space, complete with modern furniture, was designed to create calm and peace in an otherwise chaotic space. The barrister’s chamber is a place of contemplation and inspiration. A space that functions as a workplace, a meeting place, but also a place of respite. Where one can think creatively and peacefully while preparing for the next case.
FMD architects challenged convention by creating a space which did not feel like an office, more a hybrid space which is part gallery, part workspace, part home. A space our client could spend many hours in, and constantly see something new to inspire.
“Furniture selected also responds to the artwork,
providing a domestic feel to the space. The soft grey PET felt covers the seating and contrasts the black tones. It reflects the light from the landscape.”
– Fiona Dunin, Director FMD Architects
